Dan Hillier’s Fine Feathered Beasts (Fri 8th July)
For anyone that missed Dan Hillier’s amazing Victoriana/Steam Punk extravaganza at East London’s Wilton’s Music Hall (the oldest surviving music hall in the world, or so I’m told – it certainly looked like it could be) in March then fear not for on Friday 8th July our Mister Hillier will be holding court yet again - this time at the Printhouse Gallery, followed by an after party. Once again he will be showcasing his bizarre Victorian-inspired prints and once again Hendrick’s Gin will be providing the refreshments.
And now a few words from the man himself –
Hello all,
I've got another exhibition opening on Friday 8th July at the Printhouse Gallery and a following party on Dalston Roof Park, and am inviting you to come on down together and enjoy some pictures and a fine summer's eve, infused and enthused by complimentary Hendrick's Gin libations under summer skies...
Singing Adams ("an underrated national treasure" - Q, "splendidly acerbic" - Guardian, "arch-lovelorn gems" - Independent) will be tickling your tingling self with a set on the roof, accompanied by eclectic DJ sets from The Good Shepheard and Mojo Jojo, plus a luscious Turkish BBQ.
And all looking out over the city from a lovely garden roof park. It's well nice up there.
If the sun's a-shining we can all lounge and prance about under the open skies and if it's a touch wet there's a huge inflatable dome to keep us all cosy and dry.
Please do let me know if you're coming/not coming so I have an idea of numbers, and feel free to bring your friends and beloveds.
Cheers!
